Lady in RŪPA comprises a Cleopatra-inspired figure adorned in a Victorian-style gown. The body of the gown is filled with an elegant vine motif, while the sleeves feature an overlapping plated design, representing armour.

The combination of the vines and plated armour resembles daintiness and strength, respectively. An intricate geometric pattern positioned above the waistline serves as a minimalistic waist cincher belt. The piece is concluded with a gorget, a special piece of armour used to protect the neck of a soldier. Each piece in the exhibition features a different take on the gorget's geometric design. An assemblage of continuous lines serves as the backdrop for each piece.

The gorget in this piece is branded with RŪPA by darkening certain blocks within the geometric design, providing a more literal meaning to the title of the piece, "Lady in RŪPA."

Printed on Felix Shoeller True Fibre Matte 200gsm using archival pigment based inks.

Prints are standard A sizes unless otherwise specified.

Each print includes an additional 2 cm border all around for handling and framing purpose.

    We offer free collection from our print studio in Cape Town, along with national delivery options.

    International Shipping

    We are open to international purchases!

    We offer international shipping, and we kindly ask clients to contact us directly to place orders so that we can determine the shipping rates based on your delivery address.

    Will I have to pay customs taxes or import duties on my order?

    For all orders outside of South Africa, duty and customs fees may apply, and it is the responsibility of the customer to pay these charges.

    Dog Ear Editions cannot control or predict these fees, so we recommend contacting your local customs authorities for more information.

    If your order incurs import duties and taxes, these must be paid directly to your tax authority or courier before your shipment is released.

    If you do not pay these fees and the delivery is returned to us, we will need to charge you for the return postage.

    Delivery and Returns

    Prints are usually ready within 2-4 days.

    We do not accept returns or refunds at this time, and all sales are final.

    However, if your print arrives damaged, we will gladly replace it for you.
